Garden Bloggers’ Bloom Day – April 2011
The usual suspect: Ceropegia sandersonii:
The last flowers on my Dendrobiums – considering I bought them at half price back in January, they’ve lasted quite some time, over two and a half months. Although they did have a lot more flowers when I bought them.
Some almost-flowers on the croton:
The first flowers on the Oxalis triangularis:
Being lazy by reusing a previously-posted picture of my Easter cacti – they don’t look much different, and I don’t have time to take pics during the week anyway. I’m only at home when the flowers have closed up for the night.
Lots of horned pansies – on the balcony:
Outside the kitchen window:
Outside the bedroom window:
And lastly, least conspicious but most exciting to me (and also previously posted):
First tomato flower, opened this Tuesday, and joined by a second one today. I hope my pollination attempts were successful – I can’t wait for tomatoes!
As usual, head on over to May Dreams Gardens for more flowers!
Very beautiful flowers. I love oxalis being a south african bulb. Happy bloom day.
Thanks! I love Oxalis, too (I’ve gone as far as picking some of the tubers out of the thrash at work).
I’m lovin’ those window boxes. Filled with one of my favorite little flowers. And, the Easter cactus is quite interesting. They have a totally different flower shape from mine. Cool stuff. Happy bloom day!
The window boxes always make me happy when I come home and look up at my windows. Only problem is, in the kitchen box, the horned pansies are crowding out the lettuce.
You can’t go wrong with lettuce and pansies, it says spring.
They certainly do!
