August 5, 2014

Once again, too tired for words and an on-time post. Why can’t I just ever go to bed at a reasonable time and get a decent amount of sleep, and then have energy left over for blogging and other things?

Anyway. Pictures. I don’t think I have the energy for many words.

Pasta with tomatoes and basil and last week’s zucchini.

Plums found in a roadside hedge.

The first decently-sized leeks I’ve ever grown. (My only other leek was a tiny one that was half eaten by a hare last winter.)

Cucumber salad and pasta with leeks, ground meat and sour cream.

It was high time to make stuffed peppers.

And now I’ll once again attempt to go to bed earlyish.

Congrats on your leeks. And those plums look wonderful. Plums are such pretty fruit. I keep trying to grow them, but so far no fruit.

I miss having the space to grow fruit – but at least by picking them in hedges and forests and such, I’m safe from the frustration of trying to grow things that don’t do well.

    FRESH! Left me wanting more!
